A world-class manufacturer of bespoke heavy machinery are now looking for a Test & Commissioning Engineer to join their team. Working closely with the electrical, programming, and testing teams to stay informed on the latest improvements and component updates, enabling you to effectively support new machine upgrades in the field.Test & Commissioning Engineer£40,000 - £47,000 + Co Van, OT & Uplift if awayEast AngliaRef : 24336Commissioning Engineer - The Role : Provide remote support to commissioning engineers, including fault-finding and software modifications via remote loginSet up remote machine connections in the field, liaising with customer IT departments to establish secure accessPerform upgrades and modifications on customers’ existing equipment as requiredTravel to customer sites to commission equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, ensure reliable and efficient operation, and train customers in equipment use and maintenanceSupport the service desk by assisting with technical issues reported by customers on existing machineryWork closely with the electrical, programming, and testing teams to stay informed on the latest improvements and component updates, enabling you to effectively support new machine upgrades in the fieldEnsure all documentation, reports, and job-related paperwork are completed accurately and submitted in a timely mannerCommissioning Engineer - The Person : Ability to program / modify PLC programsExperience of Mitsubishi, Siemens and / or Rockwell PLCGood fault finding and problem solving skillsUnderstanding of remote machinery connections / networkingFlexibility to travel when requiredApproximately 80% of your time will be office-based, providing remote support to site-based commissioning engineers. The remaining 20% of your time will involve travel to customer sites - either when remote support is insufficient, when on-site presence is more efficient, or when direct support for the commissioning team is requiredLocated in East Anglia, ideal commutable locations would include Peterborough, Spalding, Wisbech, Huntingdon, Cambridge, CorbyLooking for a job involved with automation, control systems, process control or systems integration?
