Working Foreman (Carpenter) - Domestic Building ProjectsLocation : BristolType : Full-Time, PermanentHatched Talent is proud to be partnering with a reputable domestic building company to find a skilled and hands-on Working Foreman (Carpenter) to lead and collaborate with a small team on a variety of residential building projects.This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced tradesperson with a background in carpentry or general building, who's ready to step up and take ownership of site operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.Role ObjectiveTo deliver domestic construction projects efficiently-on time, on spec, and within budget-while leading from the front with practical skills and leadership. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on carpentry with team supervision and site management.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform carpentry and general building tasks as part of daily site activitiesSupervise and coordinate trades and subcontractors to maintain workflow and site standardsOversee quality control to ensure projects meet the highest workmanship standardsEnsure site operations comply with all health and safety regulationsAssist in site logistics, materials ordering, and supplier coordinationMonitor progress and budgets, making sure projects are delivered on time and within cost parametersLead regular bi-weekly check-ins with apprentices, offering mentorship and supportProactively solve on-site challenges and keep project momentum strongWhat You'll BringProven experience in carpentry and / or general buildingPrevious leadership experience on-site, ideally supervising small teamsStrong project coordination skills and an eye for detailA proactive mindset and ability to make clear, confident decisions under pressureFull UK driving licence (essential)Key Behaviours and CompetenciesStrong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and inspire a teamProblem-solver with a practical, can-do attitudeHigh standard of professionalism and customer focusAspiration to progress into an Operations Manager role in futureReliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality deliveryPositive team player with a desire to continuously improve and learnRepresents the company with pride and professionalism at all timesWhat's on offerCirca £45,000 paPension20 days plus Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdownVanMobile phone or allowanceThis is an exciting chance to join a growing business with a collaborative culture and strong project pipeline.
