This role can be considered Outside IR35.OnsiteOur client in in the automotive industry, is currently seeking a skilled Facilities Technician with a background in Electrical Engineering to join their team on a contractual basis.Key Responsibilities : Perform routine servicing and maintenance of equipment within the Coventry Test FacilitiesManage day-to-day workload in cooperation with the responsible ManagerCollaborate with and select suppliers, raising Purchase Orders as requiredShort and medium-term planning for projects, including investigations and upgradesMake day-to-day decisions regarding workload and prioritiesConduct non-routine fault and repair finding in case of breakdownsSupport continuous improvement projects and upgrade activitiesMaintain schedules, records, and reports for legal and audit complianceLiaise with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders as requiredJob Requirements : Experience in electrical engineering within an engineering / automotive environmentWorking knowledge of equipment in engineering workshops and plant rooms (e.g., machine tools, lifting equipment, air handling units, chillers, motors, fans, pumps, compressors)Experience in plant and general maintenance tasksUnderstanding of our client's culture and way of workingPro-active, flexible, and quality-mindedStrong communication skills at all levelsAbility to work under pressure and willingness to do overtime if requiredReliable and demonstrates clear ownership of tasksIf you are an experienced Facilities Technician looking for a new challenge in the automotive sector, we would love to hear from you.
