Job Description

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a reputable temperature-controlled logistics operator operating from its Ellington depot.

We’re seeking dependable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Undertake nationwide trunking and multi-drop haulage routes
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and maintain compliance
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely deliveries
  • Deliver chilled or frozen goods safely and efficiently
  • Uphold high customer service standards and professional image

n Candidate Requirements : \n

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence , Driver CPC, and digital tachograph card
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD / DR / IN convictions)
  • At least 6 months' driving experience in comparable roles (preference for temperature-controlled logistics)
  • Strong attendance and reliability record
  • Proactive, safety-conscious and customer-focused

  • Hourly rate : £17.45 – £19.05 , depending on shift, experience
  • Weekly pay, with overtime rates available
  • Guaranteed minimum pay per shift (e.g., 8-hour minimum)

  • Consistent, long-term work with rota flexibility (e.g. 4-on-4-off, day / night patterns)
  • Supportive working culture with on-site facilities and parking

  • n Days / Nights / Weekends , flexible to suit driver preferences
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Typical shift durations : 10–12 hours, subject to route and requirements
