Job description

The council currently has a team of dedicated community-minded men and women carrying out the important role of assisting children across busy roads in strategic locations on the way to and from school. We are keen to hear from members of the community who can demonstrate traffic awareness, a sense of responsibility, and who are keen to show dedication and commitment in carrying out this very important role.

The role is a part-time and term-time opportunity working Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will work approximately 5 hours per week. The job involves working at specific times that fall on either side of school start and finish times. It is important that applicants are available to work on all days when the school is open. A uniform is provided to protect you against the elements.

As a School Crossing Patrol, you would support schools once in the morning and once in the afternoon, ensuring the safety of children and parents crossing the road to and from school and its surrounding locations.
