We are currently partnering with a leading food manufacturer in Essex to find experienced and skilled professionals for two exciting roles : Demand Planning Manager. These positions are perfect for individuals with a strong background in supply chain, forecasting, and operations planning within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.

The Role :

Demand Planning Experience

  • Leading the demand planning process and ensuring alignment with production schedules.
  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to create accurate forecasts.
  • Analysing historical data to predict future demand and managing inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Monitor and adjust forecasts based on changes in customer demand and market conditions.

S&OP Experience

  • Leading the S&OP process and aligning cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, production, and finance) to create an integrated business plan.
  • Managing monthly S&OP meetings, analysing key metrics, and recommending strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to ensure all plans align with business objectives and financial targets.
  • Providing visibility on demand, capacity, and supply chain risks to inform decision-making.

    • Key Requirements :

  • Proven experience in Demand Planning or S&OP roles, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, and S&OP processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and demand planning tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving.
