Adjunct Sociology

Widener Universitys College of Arts & Sciences is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach in person Sociology courses. Our immediate needs are for Introduction to Sociology courses however there may be opportunity to teach other courses as well. Parttime adjunct faculty may instruct 1 to 3 courses each semester on an as needed basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day. Adjunct faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s) on campus prepare course materials be available to meet with students outside of regularly scheduled class time and provide support and guidance to students.

Required qualifications include a minimum of a Masters Degree in Sociology. Preference will be given to candidates who have an ABD or PhD in Sociology previous teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.Complete applications are to include a cover letter CV and contact information for three professional references. This is a pooled position from which adjunct(s) will be hired. As openings occur applicants will be hired from this pool.
