dbee2) My daughter is looking for a PA to join her team to work flexible and mutually agreed hours with her across some weekends, school holidays, evenings and nights.My daughter is a 10-year-old little girl with an infectious cheeky chuckle and sunshine personality. She enjoys music and dancing, along with reading her favourite books, socialising and going for walks where there is lots to see. She lives in Pill, North Somerset with her Mum and is an only child. The house has been adapted to meet her needs and we are a pet and smoke free home.

My daughter has a brain malformation and an undiagnosed genetic condition, and as a result of this, has a severe learning disability, is completely non-mobile, non-verbal and fed via a gastrostomy feeding device. She is under a multi-agency team both in the community and the hospital and attends a special school full time.

We are looking for a PA who is confident and has a fun and enthusiastic approach. My daughter will need you to be softly spoken and patient with the ability to think on your feet to keep her engaged. She would like someone who is creative and able to plan fun days out or activities.

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

• At least 2 years’ experience working with young children with severe learning and physical disabilities including personal care
• Trained in paediatric first aid
• Experience of tube / pump feeding
• Clean full UK driving license
• Experience of transferring in and out of equipment (standing frame, chair, walker) by hoisting
