Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Practice Secretary / Administrator.

We are looking for someone who is lively and bubbly with a can-do attitude and are used to working in a high pressured environment. With care being the forefront of your mind.

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of personal assistant and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team and to the Partners. Please see job description and person specification

Rate of pay £15 / hr - £18 / hr

This is a role that is either part time (up to 18 hours) or up to full time (

Practice opening hours is between - 18 : 30pm

We are located in Deptford / New Cross, 2 min walk from New Cross Train Station.

Our practice has an expanding population; current list size : 15800 patients.

We are a training practice and offer additional services to :

  • Rough Sleepers
  • Goldsmiths Students
  • Drug and Alcohol

We are unique as we offer out of area registrations to any patient within England, so wherever you are in England, a patient can register with us.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Meeting Minutes : Record and distribute accurate minutes for clinical meetings.

Prepare IT for Meetings : Ensure all technical aspects of meetings , audio-visual equipment, presentation tools are set up and functioning.

Herding staff to start on Time : Coordinate with staff to ensure meetings start on time, maintaining an efficient schedule.

Chasing Actions : Follow up on action items from meetings, ensuring tasks are completed within set deadlines.

Chasing Non-Attendees : Follow up with staff members who were absent from meetings, ensuring they read and acknowledge the minutes.

Coordinate Appraisals and 360-Degree Reviews : Manage the coordination of appraisals and 360-degree feedback, ensuring everything is prepared ahead of meetings.

Ensuring our practice policies are up to date

Taking minutes at Partner meetings and any formal meetings

Providing personal assistance duties to the four partners

Supporting audits when required
