Young Offender Behaviour MentorWigan area£450 - £500 per weekImmediate start availableFull timeMonday to Friday (8 : 30 – 3 : 00)About the roleValue Education are recruiting for a Young Offender Behaviour Mentor to work with young people aged between 11 and 17 who are receiving their education in Pupil Referral Unit setting in the Wigan area.The role of a Young Offender Behaviour Mentor is to support young people to access education, as they will often be very disengaged from school-lifeThis would be an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and that in some cases have suffered major traumaAbout the schoolThe work of a Young Offender Behaviour Mentor will require you to be based within a Pupil Referral Unit school settingYou will offer guidance and support both in the classroom, and also with their social and emotional developmentThe working hours are 8 : 30am – 3 : 00pm Monday to FridayThere are opportunities for the role to become a permanent position after a qualifying period is workedRequirementsTo be considered for the role of Young Offender Behaviour Mentor you will : Be resilientHave an in date Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain oneBe able to demonstrate empathyHave a passion to change young people's lives for the betterHave an understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health IssuesIf...
