Accounts Semi Senior

The Company Overview : Butler Rose are working with a well-established regional accountancy firm that provides a full range of services to a diverse SME client base. This firm is committed to professional growth and excellence, offering a collaborative environment where employees can develop and progress. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add at least one, possibly two, Semi Senior Accountants to their team in Staffordshire.

Your New Role as Semi Senior Accountant : This role is ideal for an aspiring professional looking to build on their practice experience while supporting a varied client portfolio. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, management accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax computations, while also assisting senior team members with compliance tasks. Additionally, you will liaise directly with clients, offering financial insights and resolving queries, while reviewing work prepared by junior staff.

Main Responsibilities : As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will :

• Prepare financial statements for limited companies (FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A, and FRS 105) and some sole traders / partnerships
• Prepare corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns
• Prepare monthly / quarterly management accounts
• Prepare VAT returns and provide client bookkeeping services
