Job Description

We are seeking a driven, dynamic and experienced professional with a passion for the hospitality industry.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and increase sales for Thornbury Castle Hotel
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Support Hotel service and strategy by regularly updating action plans and financial objectives
  • Attend industry events to promote the hotel and generate leads
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Work closely with the Hotel Manager and Management Company to ensure all strategies and campaigns meet the needs of the business
  • Manage and motivate the Sales and Events team, supporting them in achieving sales targets, handling calls and enquiries and producing event proposals
  • Develop and build relationships with new and existing customers to enable future bookings, through sales calls, FAM trips, industry events etc
  • Identify marketing opportunities and coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional material

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in hotel events / sales
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to be a strong team member and leader
  • On-site work with the availability to travel and be flexible with working hours according to business needs
