Service Workshop Manager – (HGV / LCV)Location : LetchworthSalary : up to £45,000Day shifts / Monday to FridayAre you an experienced Workshop Manager with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and technical team leadership? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of temperature-controlled vehicle rental solutions, specializing in refrigerated transport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hands-on professional to oversee workshop operations, ensuring high standards of service, compliance, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and manage daily workshop activities, ensuring efficiency and prompt issue resolution.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understand their requirements, and provide expert guidance.
  • Oversee pricing, quotes, and invoicing to ensure competitive and sustainable services.
  • Set and track key performance metrics to maintain operational excellence.
  • Work closely with external partners to ensure efficient procurement and compliance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to industry regulations and health & safety protocols.
  • Team Leadership & Development : Recruit, train, and mentor a skilled technical team, driving professional growth and high performance.About YouTo succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should be confident in handling customer interactions, managing suppliers, and driving operational improvements.Required Skills & Experience :
  • Proven experience in workshop management and vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety regulations in a workshop setting.
  • Experience managing budgets, costs, and profit & loss.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service.Desirable Skills :
  • Experience supporting operational and strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and process improvements.
