BSL Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth – Immediate Start A specialist provision in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students who are deaf or hearing impaired, supporting their communication and learning in a structured and inclusive environment.  Role Overview Position : BSL Teaching Assistant Location : Wandsworth Start Date : Immediate Salary : £105 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)  The ideal candidate will :  Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) – Essential Have experience working with deaf or hearing-impaired students in an educational setting Be confident in using BSL to support communication and learning Be patient, compassionate, and able to build strong relationships with students Work effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and speech & language therapists to support student progress Your Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and group support for students who use BSL Assist in adapting learning materials to meet the needs of hearing-impaired students Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers using BSL Support students in developing their confidence, independence, and academic skills Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment Work closely with specialist staff to ensure students have access to the right support  Why Join This School? A collaborative and experienced team of professionals, including speech & language therapists and audiologists Access to ongoing training and professional development in deaf education and communication strategies A school that values inclusivity, accessibility, and personalised learning approaches A welcoming environment where staff are valued and supported in their professional growth  How to Apply If you are passionate about supporting deaf and hearing-impaired students, we would love to hear from you.
