Join us as our Network Operations Manager! Help us shape the future of healthcare within the South West Network! Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence?

We're looking for a driven and motivated Network Operations Manager to take charge of our South West Network, which includes General Practices in West Somerset and Cornwall.

Main duties of the job

As our Network Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the services within your network, whilst also taking a lead on local relationships and growth opportunities. As well as being based from one of the South West services, travel to the sites within the South West Network will be required.

Job responsibilities

What you'll do :

Lead and Inspire : Manage, coach and mentor local teams, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to deliver high-quality patient care.

Drive Service Excellence : Oversee the operational performance of General Practice and urgent care services within the network, meeting contractual obligations and key performance indicators.

Foster Collaboration : Build strong relationships with teams, fostering a culture of working together and continuous improvement.

Implement Strategic Initiatives : Work closely with Senior Leaders to roll out new strategies that enhance service delivery and patient outcomes in the Network.

Monitor and Evaluate : Analyse performance data to identify themes and trends, address challenges, and implement solutions that drive efficiency and excellence.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Management degree or equivalent (or able to demonstrate significant level of equivalent experience)
  • A formal post graduate qualification, ideally in management or equivalent senior level experience
  • Project management

    • Experience

  • Significant demonstrable experience in People and Service management
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • Experience of service redesign and development
  • Experience of effective management of budget
  • A proven success in business planning and in the development and effective implementation of strategic plans
  • A proven record of success in managing operational change while also developing and maintaining high standards of quality

    • Skills and Knowledge

  • A sound understanding of the issues affecting operational staff and a can-do attitude to solving such issues
  • Excellent communication skills, including negotiation, with the proven ability to liaise effectively within a multidisciplinary team based environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • An ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of current thinking
