Mechanical Fitter

TekAlloy are proud to be working with several leading engineering and manufacturing businesses in our area.They are looking for skilled Machine fitters to join their team on a full time and permanent basis, Joining a team of long servers and some highly skilled Engineers, the successful person will Build and assemble complex pieces of machinery, with a view of occasionally joining the service team to install such projects.Overtime available paid at enhanced ratesDuties

• Working as part of a fitting team to build machinery from individual components
• Assisting with hydraulic pipework when required
• Kitting and mechanical build of manufactured and bought-out parts into sub assemblies
• Maintenance of buildings or machinery if required
• Actively pursue continuous improvements in assembly methods and techniques and make recommendations for their implementation when appropriate
• Safe use of lifting equipment for moving and fitting large components and sub-assemblies (up to 40Tonnes)
• Safe use of machinery (such as forklift trucks, cherry pickers and scissor lifts)
• Working at heights whilst observing health and safety requirements
• Ensuring that assembly work is effectively carried out to high-quality standards
• Observe and comply with health & safety requirements at all times
• Maintain tidiness in the workplace and good standards of housekeeping
