M&A Associate
The Company
Our client is an independent, integrated investment bank focused on mid-cap UK equities. They have a highly successful corporate broking business providing corporate advisory and stockbroking services, and have been developing a M&A offering for their clients and other businesses over the last year
The Opportunity
They have a strong commitment to building the M&A business, offering advice to public companies on a variety of M&A mandates, and this has created the need to hire at the associate level to complement the Analyst and VP they have already hired under the MD.
Responsibilities will include :
- Assisting in the preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
- Preparing financial and valuation models
- Strategic research for clients
- Drafting relevant corporate finance and related transactional documentation
- Project management and execution of transactions
- Liaising with the relevant regulatory bodies on the behalf of corporate clients
- Supporting other members of the team as necessary, with analysis, research and due diligence
Person Specification :
The successful applicant will have :
A minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent from a recognized universityExcellent communications skillsA demonstrable track record of successA strong interest in the marketsFor the associate role the successful candidate will have :
At least 3 years’experience in a plc advisory environmentProbably worked at an investment bank, otherwise a top 6 accountancy firmEntrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to work in a small, fast growing team.
