Our outstanding SEN school in Islington is looking for a Deputy SENCo to support the coordination and delivery of SEN provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic team, ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive. Role Overview : As Deputy SENCo, you will work closely with the SENCo to deliver high-quality provision for students with diverse needs. You’ll play a key role in managing support plans, liaising with staff and families, and championing inclusion across the school. Key Responsibilities : Support the SENCo in developing and implementing the school’s SEN strategy. Coordinate and monitor the progress of students with SEN, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place. Contribute to the creation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Provide advice, guidance, and training to teaching staff on SEN strategies. Build strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies. Support the SENCo in administrative tasks and ensuring compliance with SEN regulations. What We’re Looking For : A teaching qualification with SEN experience or additional qualifications. Strong understanding of SEN provision and best practices. Experience working with children with a range of additional needs. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
