As a Production Support Operative , you will  support the manufacturing teams by ensuring that plant workplace standards are maintained in line with the organisation’s core CI strategy. This involves the organisation and control of plant cleaning including assisting the management of site recyclable waste and daily focus on returning / correcting areas to a high standard. The role exists to work in conjunction with shift operating teams, providing support and continually improving the management of plant waste.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Operate a counter balanced fork-lift vehicle for scrap removal, movement of packaging materials and to transfer pallets of finished product to stock.
  • Carry out cleaning of plant facilities including, but not restricted to, walkways, loading areas, exterior areas etc.
  • Ensure that production generated scrap is processed without contamination for further use.
  • Follow plant plans comprehensively and complete activities as specified
  • Carry out and assist with reprocessing of products (cured and blown wool) as required
  • Provide flexibility and has ability to carry out a variety of tasks for which they are trained.
  • Expected to embrace all Continuous Improvement activities and be part of improvement teams as and when required.

    If you have any of the following – this would be a strong added advantage :

  • Either a accredited Counterbalance License or Knauf FLT License
  • Experience in pallet loading activities.
  • Flexibility to work in many areas of the plant and provide cover to other teams
  • Team player attitude.
  • Good Numeracy & literacy.
  • Basic level computer skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A high level of operating standards and the ability to work to company practices.
