Lead Quality Inspector | Stonehouse, Gloucestershire| 8 : 30 am – 4 : 30 pm, Monday to Friday | £20 - £22 per hour (£41,600 - £45,760)Our client has progressively established themselves in the Oil & Gas Industry Sector as a leader in the manufacture of high value / low volume parts utilising an exceptional portfolio of machine tool capabilities.They are now seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to join their team in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Inspection Team and overseeing department performance. This includes identifying and implementing improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inspection throughput while eliminating quality escapes to the customer.Are you the right person for the job?Proficiency in programming and operating Aberlink CMMsApprenticeship-trained and possessing a relevant engineering qualificationIndustry experience in Oil & Gas (preferred)Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply GD&T principles to engineering drawings and specifications in metric and imperialA proactive, team-oriented mindset, with the ability to take initiative and work independentlyWhat will your role look like?Lead the Inspection Team optimising the allocation of Inspection responsibilities to ensure completion of inspection / test tasks to meet target release datesPerform precise inspections by programming and using Aberlink CMMs and manual inspection techniques (in metric and imperial)Use a range of hardness testing equipment, gauging and undertake engraving / stamping (machine / manual)Identify and communicate quality issues ensuring actions are taken in a timely manner.Support and mentor other team membersCollaborate with Management Team with respect operational requirements defining and implementing key performance indicators to measure performance and identify actions to drive performance improvementWhat can you expect in return?Competitive salary (DOE) with overtimeCompany Pension Scheme and Death in Service Benefit SchemeWhat's next?
