JOB DESCRIPTION

The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach Art. WPI’s Artfaculty teach introductory courses, intermediateclass, advanced techniqueseminars, and capstone practicums.The Art curriculumemphasizesvisual arts (drawing, painting, and modeling); art and architectural history; digital imaging and computer art; animation and game design, and video production.

We are looking for outstanding artists / scholars, but successful candidates must also demonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an ability to jump into an existing curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches. A successful candidate should hold an appropriate terminal degreesuch as an MFA or a Ph.D. in an appropriate field.
