Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Accountable for leading delivery excellence across strategic transformation on behalf of

Arch Insurance International :

  • Responsible for leading a team of delivery experts (c.10 FTE depending on demand) on

end to end Project and Solution Management, from the Initiation phase through to

Release, across all of Arch Insurance International’s strategic initiatives.

  • Lead Business Outcome Management through the establishment of OKRs and metrics
  • costs, time, quality) to measure the success of the initiatives throughout delivery,

    course correcting as required, collaborating with the Strategic Portfolio Management

    and Governance Lead to support Portfolio Management.

  • Establish and embed a Testing Strategy for strategic initiatives, ensuring the sufficient
  • controls are in place before releasing change into Business as Usual.

  • Oversight consistency and accuracy of data outputs from all initiatives / Project
  • Managers to support Portfolio reporting and Governance requirements.

  • Provide adhoc support to Demand Management / Project Management across the
  • AINTL portfolio as required to ensure high standards are maintained.

  • Be a point of escalation for the Project Managers and a trusted source to unblock
  • initiative risks.

  • Working closely with the Strategic Portfolio Management Leadership team / Portfolio
  • Change & Communications Manager to identify and address potential resistance to

    change.

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Portfolio Delivery Lead to ensure Strategic Initiatives are
  • resourced effectively to support project delivery by developing and maintaining a

    comprehensive resource plan that outlines timeline, resources, and dependencies

    across the portfolio.

  • Recognised as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, delivery teams and the wider
  • business.

  • Mentor and develop team members by fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • within the Strategic Portfolio Management team, encouraging innovation and

    identifying opportunities to implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and

    effectiveness of the transformation initiatives.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to direct reports through their goals and objectives, and
  • evaluate / provide feedback on their performance periodically.

  • Proving experience of leading and managing a mixed team of permanent / contractors
  • across various locations.

  • All Microsoft Office tools, including MS Teams
  • Project Management software, e.g. SmartSheet, JIRA, Roadmunk,
  • Clarity. Experience of using Visio an advantage.

    Qualifications

  • Recognised Project Management qualification (PRINCE 2; Agile; PROSCI
  • Change Management)

  • Degree / MBA and / or equivalent practical experience and demonstrated
  • leadership skills.

    Experience

  • 8+ years of leading professional teams.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships, and influence
  • others to action.

  • Experience in data-driven decision making.
  • Project management experience essential.
  • Experience of the Insurance sector essential
