This is a community locked rehabilitation hospital for women with a history of offending / challenging behaviour who have learning disability (LD) and other conditions including autistic spectrum disorders, personality disorders and mental illnesses
- To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC Pin
As a Nurse your key duties include :
Providing high quality care in acute wards, low and medium secure wards, with patients suffering from Personality Disorders and Enduring Mental Illness; and acute episodes of illnessDeveloping therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagementFollowing all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practiceContributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progressMentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the teamPromoting professional development within the teamThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role :
The ability to assess and teach junior staffA proven ability to co-ordinate care, prioritise tasks and manage Health & Safety issuesThe drive to learn and developA commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practiceA flexible, positive, team-orientated approachThe successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £38,618.94 per annum.
