Job description

Job summary

We are recruiting administrators to support ourvaccination programmes for flu, Covid, shingles, pneumococcal, MMR and RSV(this list is not exhaustive). You will work as part of a dynamic team indelivering a safe and effective service for the administration of vaccinationsto patients aged from 6months.

Main duties of the job

  • You will support the smooth running of vaccination clinics
  • use computer software to accurately record patient data
  • First contact for patients attending the vaccination clinics

Job responsibilities

Our clinics will be operating Monday to Saturday, subject to demand for vaccinations. We are looking for administrators who :

  • Are competent on IT and able to learn new systems quickly
  • Can deal with patients in person and by telephone answering queries and requests for information
  • Can process appointment requests for appointments and maintaining the patient database
  • Can support the smooth running of busy vaccination clinics.
  • Can accurately enter data onto clinical systems
  • Will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures in line with local and national guidance
  • Training will be provided, as required. You will receive an induction when you join us so you can meet the team.

    You will undertake activities such as :

  • Contacting patients to book them in for their vaccinations
  • Answering queries from patients regarding their vaccinations
  • Data entry onto clinical systems
  • Ensuring consultation rooms are clean and tidy after clinics
  • Monitor team email Inbox
  • Deliver excellent levels of patient centred service
  • Facilitate the smooth and efficient running of clinics
  • Carry out any other administrative duties as deemed necessary

  • Experience

  • Polite telephone manner
  • Calm under pressure
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team according to practice and PCN processes and protocols
