Main Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to manage operational delivery of IT Services, ensuring that they are fit for purpose, secure, and compliant with standards. They will manage all IT costs, seeking to optimise our spend to deliver the most effective use of IT. They will work with the CTO to develop the IT Budget and operational plan for the year. They will collaborate with managers across the Group Businesses to ensure that IT delivers the correct service levels and supports them to deliver their operational plans.
- Managing the IT Service Desk, ensuring that it provides a quality service to users
- Managing the IT Budget, and reviewing suppliers to ensure we are using the most effective technologies
- Managing the IT Manager and other members of the IT team
- Ensuring our compliance with standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials+, NHS DSPT, NHS DCB1596
- Managing the implementation of IT Infrastructure and Systems in conjunction with our Head of Development, and Project Managers
- Provide guidance, support and professional development opportunities for their team
- Collaboration with Managers across the Business to ensure IT Operational Delivery including Systems Uptime and that IT supports their Business objectives
- Supporting the IT Project Manager to deliver continuous improvement in Systems and processes
- To ensure we have the optimum Backup Strategy and Disaster Planning
- To represent IT in external audits
What experience and skills are we looking for?
Previous experience at a Head of IT Level3 years as Head of Infrastructure, or other senior IT Management role showingLeadership and team managementBudget and cost managementRegulatory compliance and risk managementBusiness relationship managementVendor managementTechnology deploymentChange managementIdeally experience of managing an Azure environment, multi-site locations, and an organisation with field based staffIdeally from a healthcare or Logistics backgroundQualifications?
