We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a skilled level in a division that drives the business forwards through providing a best-in-class engineering service to our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS / Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in their service area in the country.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS / Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment. This includes disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting / calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).

  • Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization daily, complete service reports, maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
  • Use the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle daily activity.
  • Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions, and the sales organization.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS / Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years industry-related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilization processing units.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Preferred Experience

  • Good troubleshooting skills and proven organizational attitude.
  • Computer literacy with good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language.
  • Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme.
