We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software. We are seeking someone who has experience and knowledge of developing applications using Python, C#, JavaScript, .Net, HTML and CSS.

Required skills and experience : Demonstrable experience in application development and integrationFamiliarity with computing science, data science or other related disciplinesStrong understanding of Azure infrastructure and data environmentInterest in expanding knowledge across a variety of toolsets and technologiesFamiliarity with building and deploying applications in a cloud environmentExperience developing applications using Python, C#, JavaScript, .Net, HTML and CSSUnderstanding of build and versioning tools such as Github, BitBucketStrong organisational and time management skillsGood problem identification and solving skills

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Software Developer will work directly with the InterPret Software Development team and other Intertek team members to deliver new functionality and enhancements to an existing product suite. A key aspect of the role is to communicate with a number of teams to gain an understanding of the use of Intertek's existing software products. This understanding will be developed into user stories and requirement specifications which will form the basis of the feature development.

Key activities : Create and maintain new / improved functionality of existing Intertek software projectsMaintain high standards of code quality, making use of version control toolsEngage in the development of software using a clear process e.g. Agile, DevOps, Test Driven developmentUndertake development in accordance with scope outlined in Project Definition Documents (PDD)Create and update documentation and accessibility of software solutionsActively engage in Intertek's performance culture to exceed customer expectationsUtilize Azure infrastructure and data environment to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions
