ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to the high-performance levels they have set, they have landed a long term contract covering the whole of the South West working on projects ranging in value from £300K to £5M. This gives all their members of staff great stability and repeat work over the next decade.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will undertake general surveying duties of projects as required, which will include reviewing and pricing variations and preparing valuations for the respective Project Manager and Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs across multiple projects, ensuring each is profitable for the Company. The projects that you will be involved in will be working on NEC contracts on underground cabling.

The Commercial Manager who you will report to, is energetic, fun, very approachable, very knowledgeable and a great person to learn from and work with. He likes to have a one-to-one relationship with his staff.

REQUIREMENTS

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial management or Quantity Surveying.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within Civil Engineering for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 company. Your work history should be stable; ideally, you should have worked at your previous companies for a number of years.

The role is a permanent position. No freelancers can be considered.

A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
