Job description

About us

DWF is a global legal business providing high quality legal services across legal advice and managed services. We empower people to be themselves within an inclusive and supportive environment, enabling everyone to achieve their full potential in line with their abilities and career aspirations.

About the role

We are seeking a 3+PQE Solicitor to join the Real Estate team in Edinburgh to work predominantly for our market leading telecoms clients.

Our telecoms expertise is renowned and we act for big, UK-wide electronic communications operators. This work covers all aspects of asset management, from lease renewals under the Communications Act and Electronic Communications Code, right of way disputes, access issues, upgrades and the roll out and ongoing management of new technologies such as 5G.

The Solicitor we are looking to recruit will work for two of DWF's leading telecom clients. The strategic partnership with one of these clients generates plenty of high value real estate work and offers an excellent opportunity for the Solicitor to further develop these robust client relationships – in what is an area of considerable growth.

The work will mainly involve commercial landlord and tenant law in the context of telecommunications mast sites including site acquisitions, upgrades, renewals, estates matters, and forced site moves. The work also involves providing support to the Real Estate Litigation team in Electronic Communications Code litigation matters.

About you

Experience of telecoms law and the new Electronic Communications Code would be ideal, although not mandatory if you have a solid grounding in landlord and tenant law. It is essential that you are driven by the desire to deliver a world-class client service, and have the ability and desire to develop lasting relationships with clients and to be a long-term member of an established but forward-thinking and growing team.

What we offer

We offer a positive, friendly, supportive and collegiate approach to working with others. At our core is a belief that an inclusive, supportive working environment allows people to more easily be themselves, develop much more quickly and be happier at work. Everyone in the team supports this ethos.

We want you to feel valued and rewarded.

We understand the importance of offering you a reward package that goes beyond just salary. When you join DWF, you will be given a choice. You can pick from a range of benefits, allowing you to build a package that suits your and your family's needs and lifestyle.

Our standard benefits cover medical insurance, life insurance, pension and 25 days annual leave. Our other flexible benefits include gym memberships, health assessments, cycle to work scheme and retail vouchers. You will also have access to additional wellbeing programs such as an online GP and an Employee Assistance Programme.

DWF has adopted a hybrid-working model, so our people enjoy a mix of home and office working.

We would love to hear from you and discuss your career at DWF.
