About the role
The SumUp Point of Sale is one of our fastest growing product lines at SumUp. We aspire to help small merchants thrive with our new flagship Point of Sale product, live in 13 markets today and expanding to many more very soon.
As a Senior Product Manager in the POS Tribe, this role will be pivotal in building mission critical features across the product, for example, Product Catalog & Inventory Management, Till & Staff Management and more.
You will help create and drive the strategy, vision and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership over critical features and the customer experience. We are looking for someone customer-obsessed and technology savvy - with a passion for consumer devices and the payment industry.
What you’ll be doing in this job
Lead discovery of key problem spaces to deeply understand problems to be solved.
Articulate how best-in-class competing products solve the problem.
Leverage insights, data and instinct to define industry-best solutions that deliver value to our customers.
Comfortably navigate functional and technical nuances to slice large features in lean, iterable deliverables resulting in faster time to market and shorter customer feedback loops.
Juggle sprint plans to continuously deliver small items as well as the big rocks.
Demonstrates accountability & ownership over product launch and quality.
Work with Data Analysts to measure and share back impact of features / initiatives launched.
Work with Product Marketing to advise on product positioning, and feature communications plans.
Build a continuous feedback loop with Customer Support & Sales to ensure front-line problems are being heard, prioritized and resolved.
Liaise with stakeholders inside and outside of the tribe to ensure cross-squad and inter-tribe alignment and communication.
You’ll be great for this role if you have :
Proficiency in Product Management - operationally as well as strategically
Ability to combine business acumen with technical knowledge to build best-in-class solutions for our customers
Comfortable working with and analyzing data to drive business outcomes
Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to champion initiatives internally and externally, and for effective communication with executive management and external partners
Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Self-driven personality, flexible and entrepreneurial intellect with superb conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
