Location : Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire border

Salary : £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (£20,941.63 - £22,834.95 actual salary), based on experience and qualifications ...

Hours : Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in a residential setting? If you're dedicated to providing care, guidance, and a nurturing environment, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Child Residential Worker.

Key Duties :

  • Provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people in a residential home setting.
  • Help individuals with PMLD, complex medical needs, and autism to achieve their personal goals.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive environment that fosters respect and equality.
  • Encourage independence while offering emotional and practical support.
  • Engage in activities, outings, and routines to help develop social and life skills.
  • Assist with personal care and participate in physical intervention when necessary.

  • Are patient, proactive, and dedicated to helping young people overcome challenges.
  • Enjoy working in residential care and supporting social and emotional development.
  • Are creative thinkers and flexible problem solvers.
  • Are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of young people.
  • Have excellent communication skills, particularly in supporting those with specific communication needs.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Are willing to work towards further qualifications, fully funded by us.
