We’re searching for an Accounts Payable Supervisor in Bristol to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.

Edyn is recruiting for a Supervisor to join the Accounts Payable team, the role will directly support the Accounts Payable Manager and will act as the first step in the escalation process for the function. The Accounts Payable supervisor will play a critical role within the Accounts Payable Team, working closely in a 9 person team and part of a 60+ person Finance and Procurement team. The role is key to ensuring that all transactions are processed efficiently with accurate supporting documentation.

A role less ordinary.

  • Provide onboarding, training and coaching to the team, driving for continuous improvement
  • Lead process change initiatives based on feedback from the team and from assessing inefficient processes, creating strong relationships with the Process Improvement team with the aim of automating as many manual processes as possible with the aim moving to completing more ‘value add’ tasks such as business partnering.
  • Lead the way in automating
  • Complete detailed payment run analysis, and ensuring the team are conducting correctly.
  • Respond as the first level of escalation in any Accounts Payable disputes, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships and positive outcomes.
  • Provide root cause analysis and insight on escalations received
  • Become the SME for the ‘procure to pay’ process at Edyn, be an expert on the core Accounts Payable processes and systems and lead for any business wide change programs
  • Deal with any complex reconciliations, and complete tasks end-to-end to increase payables ledger health and reduce negative balances.

Who you are.

  • Experience working in a fast paced multi-jurisdiction Accounts Payable team for at least 2 years.
  • Prior experience of supervising a team of 3 or more people. (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge or experience within the hospitality or property industry. (highly desirable)
  • The ability to think quickly and apply your initiative and commercial mindset to solve problems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify gaps in processes against best practice.
  • Previous experience using ERP Systems (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Previous experience in process improvement and as a project SME
