Children’s Home Deputy Manager – MundesleyContract Personnel are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a well-established leading local charity at their fully occupied 4 bed service which is rated as good by Ofsted.How does the day-to-day look?To deputise for the manager as requiredTo act as the deputy senior professional in the staff teamTo ensure staff access identified developmental opportunities for service-usersTo protect the service-users from threat to their health, well-being and development,both from inside and outside the homeTo ensure that the home environment is appropriate and sensitive to the needs ofthe service usersWhere possible, to ensure service-users are included in any decision-making relatedto the running of the homeTo manage staff in a manner that provides an empowering, positive experience forservice-users through appropriate use of company’s processes including recruitment,support & supervision, annual appraisal and disciplinaryTo implement management decisions in a manner that provides an empowering,positive experience for service-usersTo ensure the key stages in service-user contact with the home, such as referral,admission and discharge, run smoothly and timely and reflect decisions recorded incare plansWhere appropriate, to participate in the development, implementation andmonitoring of individual care plansTo develop and maintain good working relationships (where appropriate) with : parents and other family members, social workers, school staffOther professionals with a concern for the children’s and young people’s needs, such as General Practitioners or Psychologists.To ensure that specific needs are met such as : dietary requirements, culturally significant activities, religious observanceTo ensure that service-users carry as much responsibility for their own lives as theycan reasonably and demonstratively be expected to manage, keeping them informedof their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives andsupporting and helping them towards taking greater control and responsibilityTo ensure compliance with all statutory and legislative requirementsAny other reasonable task as directed by your Line ManagementYou will have : Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and people management skills whilst prioritising the care of our young people and developing these crucial relationships.NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.The ability to inspire and motivate your team and young people within the service.Promote a culture of high standards and excellent performance.A caring, compassionate and resilient nature.Working with children for at least one yearSchedule : 37 hours per weekSalary :  £33,428 - £34,980 DOE + performance related bonusWhat’s on offer? 31 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays)Annual leave purchaseAdditional service-related holiday from 2 yearsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Company funded medical cash planEnhanced sick pay and family friendly leavePension salary sacrificeLife assurance to the value of 3x your annual salaryAccess to the Blue Light benefits platform enabling you to access discounts across a range of shops, venues and services (your membership fee will be reimbursed)Access to multiple Wellbeing initiativesThe opportunity to influence company’s strategy and direction through our Staff Consultation ForumCycle to Work and Tech schemeAbout Contract Personnel : Contract Personnel are one of East Anglia’s longest standing, leading, independent recruitment agencies – established in 1989.
