A local specialist school near Horsham is now looking for a SEND Teacher to join their secondary department and teach either English or Maths as part of a trans-disciplinary team.
This school is dedicated to offering a specially-tailored, bright and fun learning environment for children and young people (aged 3-19 years old) with physical, medical and / or sensory needs to thrive in their academic, life and social-emotional skill development. Through an adapted, structured curriculum and tandem therapeutic support, the school encourages its pupils to build on their creativity, confidence, and breadth of knowledge in a wholly inclusive manner.
This SEND Teacher position is based within the secondary-aged provision, which is specialised for autistic pupils and pupils experiencing difficulties with their speech, language and communication.
Small class sizes, high staff ratios (with the combined experience of teaching, teaching and emotional literacy assistance, and allied health professionals) and modern assistive resources (including technology and multi-sensory resources) will help you embolden pupils in their learning inside and outside the classroom, facilitating personal development that sees pupils achieve their education goals and inspire them to pursue further ambitions.
Meanwhile, you’ll have the crucial support you need to develop further in your career, as well as access to a broad range of tools and rewards to support your health, wellbeing and lifestyle.
