Job descriptionProven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in CNC programming. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly desirable. Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during programming. Experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting is an advantage. Previous experience using FANUC and Mazatrol machine is essential. On site parking Canteen Pension
CNC Recruitment is seeking multiple CNC roles for our client in Dorset area - a leading provider of high-quality precision engineering solutions.
Job type – Temp to perm, permanent for the right candidate after 12 weeks
Location – Sturminster Newton
Working hours – Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, and Friday 8am – 1pm
Salary – up to £20 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimise CNC programmes for milling, welding, and other machining processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Utilise CAD software such as SolidWorks to design tooling and fixtures as needed.
- Conduct tests on completed programmes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the warehouse environment.
