Make your mark as a Rigger / Welder for Boskalis Subsea Services, on behalf of Ultimate Marine Solutions Limited! The Rigger is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all deck activities in particular those pertaining to rigging, lifting, banksman, welding, crane, slinging and ensuring compliance to regulatory and company requirements.  The Rigger is responsible for ensuring that all operations carried out in support of diving operations are performed safely and in compliance with company procedures under the supervision of the Deck Foreman.  On occasions when a Rigger is employed to undertake Welding tasks they are responsible for carrying out welding operations on deck in a safe and efficient manner

Your responsibilities as a Rigger / Welder :

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;

  • Ensure that all diving support activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures;
  • Ensure that all deck activities are carried out safely and in compliance with legislative requirements inclusive of LOLER, PUWER and COSHH;
  • Be familiar with and understand the basics of the Permit to Work System, Tool Box Talks, Lift Plans and Risk Assessments;
  • Ensure that deck welding / burning equipment is in good working order and fit for purpose;
  • Ensure that a fire watch is in place during all welding operations.

Your Qualities and Qualifications

You can make your mark as a Rigger Welder if you have :

  • OPITO approved BOSIET with CA-EBS, MIST (for UKCS only) and OGUK Medical.
  • Minimum 2 years DSV or Oil and Gas Platform experience.
  • OPITO approved Stage 3 / 4 Banksman and Slinger Certification.
  • OPITO approved Stage 3 / 4 Rigging and Lifting Certification.
  • Proof of 2x Covid-19 Vaccination.

  • Your team :   you will report directly to the Deck Foreman.
  • Where you will work : You will work on any one of our DSVs or CSV in the Fleet
  • Full / part- time job : The position of Rigger / Welder   is a permanent role and will be offered on a Guaranteed Days Contract basis.
