The Role :
In this role you will lead the company's proposal function overseeing the administration and delivery of an effective proposal and work winning process. The role will provide strategic direction, adherence to procedures and manage the
bid submissions for competitive tenders.
The role will cover the full range of proposals and bids that DORIS UK undertake including Renewables, Oil & Gas and Energy Transition. These bids will be focused in the UK but for renewables will involve international tendering and the associated expertise associated with such.
Scope of Responsibilities :
Responding to the company's growth pipeline you will join a team already exploring a strong pipeline of projects in the offshore wind and OGET sector. The ideal candidate will use their previous experience of developing successful bid
strategies and play a key role in the enhancement of the business development strategy and the company's growth.
- Lead and be responsible for devising and implementing bid strategies to ensure the business wins deliverable and value accretive options.
- Oversee the delivery of tender documentation and other milestones as part of the bid strategy and auction rules.
- Identify risks in the bid strategy and develop solutions to overcome.
- Subject matter expert internally on the current status of proposals
- Provide expert input into the delivery strategy of project bids ensuring quality, value and high safety standards are maintained.
- Create a winning culture that drives growth in the team and business.
- Co-ordinate across the project team the Bid Preparation Strategy to identify and determine the required programme of work against bid success factors.
- Ensure compliance with all client bid requirements and forms of bid.
- Ensure the quality of the proposals in line with corporate requirements.
- Determine and implement how projects can maximise scoring against tender criteria (e.g. stakeholder mgmt. criteria, capability criteria, local supply criteria, etc.), evaluate potential trade-offs.
- Prepare manage and submit tender documentation including pre-qualification requirements and bid submissions.
- Commercial awareness
- Proven experience leading and winning bids in the offshore wind industry, within budget and quality.
- Experience working for a successful EPC or Wind developer / Oil operator or industry contractor with international project / team experience inEurope, the Far East and USA.
