Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders effectively. Availability to start by January 2025 and willingness to commute to Warwickshire 3 days per week. Be part of a greenfield project, shaping sustainability initiatives from the ground up. Work in a collaborative environment with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position. About the Role :
This is a unique opportunity to join a global wholesale merchant as they embark on their journey toward CSRD readiness and enhanced carbon reporting . As the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s compliance efforts while contributing to a greenfield project in sustainability data reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the business representative for CSRD readiness , working closely with an external consultancy conducting double materiality assessments and gap analyses .
- Lead senior stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with CSRD requirements and sustainability goals.
- Support onboarding of the consultancy and establish a roadmap for key deliverables leading to the reporting year (August 2025).
- Dedicate 50%-75% of your time to CSRD preparation and the remainder to :
- Carbon Reporting : Enhance Scope 1-3 carbon reporting and build a comprehensive Scope 3 inventory.
- EU Taxonomy and CSDDD Compliance : Provide forward-looking insights and horizon scanning.
- Collaborate with the Director of ESG Europe of their private investor, a key stakeholder with high expectations and a clear vision for success.
- Navigate and influence a corporate environment , presenting findings and updates effectively to senior leaders and investors.
