Job Title : Sustainability Reporting Manager

Contract : 6-9 Month Contract, potential to transition into a permanent role

Start Date : ASAP

About the Role :

This is a unique opportunity to join a global wholesale merchant as they embark on their journey toward CSRD readiness and enhanced carbon reporting . As the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s compliance efforts while contributing to a greenfield project in sustainability data reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Act as the business representative for CSRD readiness , working closely with an external consultancy conducting double materiality assessments and gap analyses .
  • Lead senior stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with CSRD requirements and sustainability goals.
  • Support onboarding of the consultancy and establish a roadmap for key deliverables leading to the reporting year (August 2025).
  • Dedicate 50%-75% of your time to CSRD preparation and the remainder to :
  • Carbon Reporting : Enhance Scope 1-3 carbon reporting and build a comprehensive Scope 3 inventory.
  • EU Taxonomy and CSDDD Compliance : Provide forward-looking insights and horizon scanning.
  • Collaborate with the Director of ESG Europe of their private investor, a key stakeholder with high expectations and a clear vision for success.
  • Navigate and influence a corporate environment , presenting findings and updates effectively to senior leaders and investors.

About You :

The ideal candidate will bring the following :

  • Proven experience with CSRD preparation , DNA and gap analyses , and sustainability reporting within a corporate setting.
  • Expertise in carbon reporting and building Scope 3 inventories.
  • Familiarity with EU Taxonomy , CSDDD , and CFD compliance .
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to navigating complex organisations and building sustainability frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders effectively.
  • Availability to start by January 2025 and willingness to commute to Warwickshire 3 days per week.
