Job Title : Sustainability Reporting Manager
Contract : 6-9 Month Contract, potential to transition into a permanent role

About the Role :
This is a unique opportunity to join a global wholesale merchant as they embark on their journey toward CSRD readiness and enhanced carbon reporting . As the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s compliance efforts while contributing to a greenfield project in sustainability data reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the business representative for CSRD readiness , working closely with an external consultancy conducting double materiality assessments and gap analyses .
- Lead senior stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with CSRD requirements and sustainability goals.
- Support onboarding of the consultancy and establish a roadmap for key deliverables leading to the reporting year (August 2025).
- Dedicate 50%-75% of your time to CSRD preparation and the remainder to :
- Carbon Reporting : Enhance Scope 1-3 carbon reporting and build a comprehensive Scope 3 inventory.
- EU Taxonomy and CSDDD Compliance : Provide forward-looking insights and horizon scanning.
- Collaborate with the Director of ESG Europe of their private investor, a key stakeholder with high expectations and a clear vision for success.
- Navigate and influence a corporate environment , presenting findings and updates effectively to senior leaders and investors.
About You :
The ideal candidate will bring the following :
Proven experience with CSRD preparation , DNA and gap analyses , and sustainability reporting within a corporate setting.Expertise in carbon reporting and building Scope 3 inventories.Familiarity with EU Taxonomy , CSDDD , and CFD compliance .A proactive, hands-on approach to navigating complex organisations and building sustainability frameworks from scratch.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders effectively.Availability to start by January 2025 and willingness to commute to Warwickshire 3 days per week.Why Join?
