Are you a seasoned estimator ready to shape the future of the steel industry?

We are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team in Ayrshire or East Kilbride. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a market leader in the steel industry, contributing to high-profile projects while delivering accurate and competitive tenders.

As a Senior Estimator, you will :

  • Prepare and submit accurate estimates for steel fabrication and construction projects, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams to assess specifications, materials, and timelines.
  • Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather quotes and maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitor industry trends and costs to ensure estimates remain competitive.
  • Provide strategic input into bid decisions and support business growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Proven experience as an estimator in the steel fabrication or construction industry.
  • A strong understanding of steel structures, fabrication processes, and associated costs.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
