QUALIFIED GAS ENGINEER

To provide an effective Gas Operations service that meets contract and customer expectations, to include gas installation, servicing and repairsYou will be responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs and refurbishments, estate services, gas servicing and installation and maintenance service across the UK to both internal and external clients.The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times.This profile is not an exhaustive list of duties and other activities may need to be carried out requiring similar skill levels.Key Accountabilities (All Accountabilities will be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation) : Carry out installation, fault fixing, maintenance duties, installation and commissioning of gas central heating systems, in accordance with contract and service specifications.Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed.Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications.Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed, in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications.Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets.Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group’s objectives.Qualifications and Attainments (or knowledge and experience at an equivalent level) : Current Gas safe registrationACS (previously ACOPS) Natural Gas Domestic qualificationFull, current driving licenceMust hold current domestic gas ACS qualifications, have own vehicle, gas analyser and public liability insurance. Role is outside IR35. Rate is not paid hourly, rate is paid per job completed by the candidate e.g. candidate completed 3 jobs in a day 3 'hours' are added to the timesheetWork Experience : Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loadsProven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutionsWorking knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislationRecent experience of undertaking a similar roleWorking knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systemsSkills Required : Good understanding of written and spoken EnglishGood communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer care skillsAbility to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work schedulingEmail and internet communicationsIf you are interested in this position please apply on this advert, or alternatively, call our office on (phone number removed) or email your CV to (url removed) for further information
