Job descriptionMust hold either a UK Class 1 CE or Class 2 C Licence. Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Experience of curtain sider trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service. Working to deadlines. Confident, polite and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated. Salary for HGV Driver between £34,pa - £39,pa and MORE! Depending on hours worked. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, working 48 hours per week, starting at 07 : 30hrs. Overtime available, paid at an hourly rate. Enhanced rate for working weekends. The position of HGV Driver involves :
- Making multi drop palletised deliveries to businesses and private addresses around the South West.
- Loading / unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
- Planning route on a day to day basis.
- Working closely with the network hubs.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
