Job description

Blackburn Starling & Co Ltd are looking for a Purchase Ledger Controller to join us permanently, working from our Nottingham office. As a key member of our Finance team, you will manage the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining strong supplier relationships, streamlining financial processes, and supporting the wider finance function in achieving operational excellence.Prime Function :

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Drive efficiency improvements in the purchase ledger function, leveraging technology and best practices.
  • Support the payroll department with accurate and timely processing of payroll and provide cover when required.
  • Ensure engineers' weekly timesheets are processed efficiently using financial systems.Key Success Factors :
  • Deliver a high-quality, responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers, the Purchasing and Payroll departments, and operational teams.
  • Proactively resolve supplier queries and discrepancies.Core Responsibilities :
