Nursing Home Manager

Fantastic management opportunity available with a well-respected family-run care provider in Wales.

Our client is looking for an experienced, skilled healthcare professional with a passion for providing exceptional care to individuals living with dementia. We are currently looking for a dedicated Nursing Home Manager in the Aberdare area to take ownership of their 40-bed nursing and residential home.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled nurses, caregivers, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement care plans and protocols specific to individuals living with dementia, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and regular reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in dementia care, implementing innovative strategies to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Requirements :

  • Valid NMC PIN and / or previously managed a nursing home.
  • Proven experience in managing a nursing home or dementia care unit, ideally with a minimum of 2 years.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals, coupled with a strong knowledge of person-centered care.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks, including CIW standards, and a commitment to upholding best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage resources effectively.
