The Governors are seeking to appoint an Assistant Site Supervisor who under the guidance of the Site Supervisor & Headteacher, will contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of duties.

This is a part time, permanent post, 25 hours per week, full year. Please note that the salary noted is pro rata and therefore based on a full time (37 hours per week) position.

The role will involve working split shifts - mornings and afternoons.

The main responsibility of the post is cleaning. The position will involve some time on other duties including maintenance of the building and grounds maintenance.

If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'. Information provided by you or the Disclosure and Barring Service will be dealt with in a confidential manner in accordance with the DBS's Code of Practice.

Desirable Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 qualification in caretaking, or equivalent.
English and Maths qualification to the equivalent of a GCSE pass.

Basic numeracy & literacy skills

Attention to detail skills

Basic DIY / Repair skills

Garden maintenance

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of Recruitment & Selection issues

Ability to use powered tools and equipment relevant to the role (e.g. drill, floor buffer)

Awareness of Health & Safety issues Awareness of CoSHH
