Nursery : Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary : £11.44 - £11.67 p / h (dependant on qualification / s and experience)

Location : Haywards Heath, West Sussex

We are looking for a part time, passionate Early Years Assistant - Lunch Cover, to join our Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Preschool, located on the outskirts of Haywards Heath making it a slightly more rural setting.

This nursery offers a large outside area, including a woodland area with animals – goats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. There’s also onsite parking and it’s conveniently close to the M23.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working as part of a nursey team looking after babies and children up to the age of 5.
  • Having daily adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading and helping them with their curious minds through the learning curriculum
  • Communicating with parents daily on their child’s activities
  • Provide a caring and supporting environment where the children feel safe and looked after
  • Supporting colleagues encourage the children’s development towards key milestones
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding

    • What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
  • Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children
