Job Title : Full-Time Support WorkerLocation : Golders Green, LondonContract Type : Full-Time, PermanentHours : 37.5 hours per week (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required)About the RoleWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Golders Green, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs. A strong understanding and respect for Jewish culture, traditions, and dietary laws is essential, as many of our service users follow these practices.You will play a key role in promoting independence, encouraging engagement in the community, and providing emotional and physical support tailored to each person’s individual needs.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care and support to service users in accordance with individual care plans.
- Support individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication.
- Assist with access to the community, including work, education, religious activities, and leisure.
- Respect and facilitate Jewish cultural practices, including kosher dietary requirements, Shabbat observance, and festivals.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and planning meetings.Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a support or care role, ideally working with individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Jewish customs, values, and traditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
- Enhanced DBS check required (can be arranged).Desirable :
