RE Teacher – Secondary School – Belle Vue – September Start

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Belle Vue , known for its inclusive community, high academic standards, and strong pastoral support. We are seeking a passionate and engaging Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join the Humanities department on a full-time basis starting in September .

Location : Belle Vue, Manchester

Start Date : September

Contract Type : Full-time, long-term

Pay : Paid in line with your teaching scale (MPS / UPS)

Role Responsibilities :

Delivering high-quality RE lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students

Encouraging critical thinking, discussion, and respectful debate on a range of moral, ethical, and religious issues

Preparing students for GCSE Religious Studies , including coursework and exam content

Developing engaging and differentiated lesson plans that reflect the school's inclusive ethos

Contributing to the wider Humanities curriculum and school enrichment activities

Monitoring and supporting students’ academic and personal development

Candidate Requirements :

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Experience teaching RE in a UK secondary school setting

Strong subject knowledge across world religions, philosophy, and ethics

A commitment to promoting diversity, tolerance, and student engagement

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
