An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, independent practice in Swindon, operating across three fantastic sites, including a new gold standard cat only clinic at the main location. Established in 1986, this practice is proud to offer exceptional in-house care, ensuring minimal need for external referrals. With 38 dedicated staff members, including a team of 17 nurses, and a supportive, efficient management team at each site, this is a dynamic and rewarding environment where vets can truly thrive!
This teaching practice values mentorship, professional growth, and an open culture that encourages continuous learning and career development. With a strong emphasis on CPD and further qualifications, vets are given the freedom to develop their own clinical interests, whether in medicine, surgery, or another specialist field. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience, a passion for managing chronic diseases, and the ability to coach and support others within the veterinary team. Additional qualifications are welcomed but not essential, as the practice actively encourages further certifications.
This role offers clinical autonomy, allowing you to take responsibility for the clinical team in the absence of other vets, while being fully supported by a collaborative and experienced team. Whether you thrive in surgery, medicine, or client care, you will have the freedom to shape your role within the practice, making a real impact on both your colleagues and the animals you treat. The practice is seeking an organised, compassionate, and motivated vet who enjoys building strong client relationships, works well in an open, team-focused environment, and strives for continuous self-improvement.
