Extrusion Engineering Operative - Day Shift

Full training is given. must have at least warehouse experience Hours : Monday to Friday, (phone number removed)pm and 1pm, Friday finish Salary - £27,000 plus two annual bonuses per year for staying and being loyal to the company. You will accrue a competitive salary and lots of company benefits including Christmas shut down and 33 days of holiday.About the roleThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to enter the machine shop / engineering industry or with prior machine operation experience. The role involves working with a wide range of machinery to cut, measure, and scale materials for a number of industries. Full training is provided.Key responsibilitiesYou will operate and manage various machinery and processes across multiple production areas, including : Inspection and quality controlDimensional and visual inspection of your own output.Production operationsMouldingSetting up moulds and presses.Operating multiple moulding presses (compression and transfer).Trimming excess flash from moulded components.TV silicone castingMixing and degassing two-part silicone.Cleaning, preparing, and pouring materials into moulds.Trimming and finishingOperating manual machines Applying sealants and performing hand assembly tasks.Operating laser marking equipment.Other dutiesCorrect manual handling of tools and moulds.Compliance with production paperwork, SOPs, and HSE standards.Flexibility to assist in other production areas as needed.

• Working towards Lean manufacturing standards
• Working on large press machines
• Quality checking is vital to ensure no cracks occur.
• Label the parts so customer specification and order information is clearly visible
• Load all final goods into the dispatch area.
• At times you maybe expected to work across different departments.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
