We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in managing daily operations and maintaining exceptional service standards. This role bridges the gap between senior management and front-of-house staff while ensuring smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction.Key Responsibilities : Operations ManagementOversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing proceduresMonitor dining areas and service points to ensure compliance with Food Standards Agency regulationsMaintain stock levels and liaise with kitchen staff regarding menu availabilityEnsure adherence to food hygiene regulations and Health & Safety protocolsImplement and maintain quality control standards for food and beverage serviceComplete due diligence documentation as required by EHO standardsStaff LeadershipSupervise and mentor front-of-house staff, including waiting staff, hosts, and bar staffCreate staff rotas ensuring appropriate coverage during peak trading periodsConduct team briefings and training sessionsSupport the recruitment process and conduct staff inductionsParticipate in performance reviews and disciplinary proceduresProvide on-the-job training and development opportunitiesCreate a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and excellenceCustomer ServiceMaintain floor presence during service to ensure guest satisfactionHandle guest feedback and complaints professionally and effectivelyMonitor table management and waiting times during busy periodsManage bookings and special events coordinationBuild rapport with regular customersSupport implementation of allergen awareness proceduresAdministrative DutiesAssist in managing wage costs and rota planning within budgetMonitor KPIs and sales data to identify areas for improvementMaintain accurate records of incidents and resolutionsSupport menu development and pricing strategiesHelp implement marketing initiatives and promotional eventsEnsure compliance with company policies and UK employment lawRequired Qualifications : Education & ExperienceMinimum 5 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above, including Maths and EnglishLevel 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership
